I. Joining Women In Business
How to Join:
Come join Women in Business at any of our general body meetings to learn more about our organization! These "INvolvement" Nights are hosted at four different points each semester. You can also contact our Membership Director, Kaitlyn McHenry, at [email protected] for immediate membership or any membership related questions.
Dues:
Dues will be 25$ per one semester or 40$ for the year. Contact our Finance Director, Sophia DeBruin, at [email protected] with any questions.
Join Our Mailing List:
All official Women In Business communications are sent through our membership e-mail Listserv. If you are considering joining WIB and would like to receive information about upcoming meetings or events, please e-mail Rachana Kondapaturu at [email protected] to be added to the Listserv.
II. Active Membership
In order to be considered an active member in Women In Business, please review the guidelines below. Members who would like to get more involved are strongly encouraged to attend our “INvolvement Nights.”
In order to be considered an active member, members must:
· Receive 4 Corporate Event points.
· Receive 2 Community Service Event points
· Receive 2 THON Event points
· Receive 4 Social Event points.
· Receive at least 15 total points by the end of the semester.
· The rest of the points can be obtained through going to more events or participating in OTHER events.
· Filling out the Membership Form counts as OTHER points towards the 15 total points to be active.
IV. Alumni and Graduating Members
Please e-mail Rachana Kondapaturu if you would like to be removed from the Membership listserv. Please put "Remove from WIB ListServ" in the subject line. If you are graduating and would like to receive our monthly WIB Newsletter, please note that in your e-mail along with a forwarding e-mail address.
WIB now has an Alumni Database, and we encourage all former members to join so that we can keep in touch, and, with permission, use it as a networking tool for our general members.
V. WIB Newsletters
The newsletters are created at the end of every month to highlight a number of WIB's events and let our affiliates know about our progress. These newsletters are sent to our Penn State WIB Alumni if you would like to receive these email newsletters or if you have any comments on the newsletters, please contact Caitlin Bertrand.
